At Comfort Keepers In Home Care we are honored to provide at home elder care for veterans who served our nation and preserved our way of life. We have partnered with the American Veterans Care Connection (AVCC) in order to better serve the veteran’s in our community. Our agency works with the AVCC, local VA clinics and VA hospitals to provide home care assistance to veterans that qualify through the VA’s Aid & Attendance and Housebound programs. Depending on your eligibility – in home care can be provided at no cost to you.

What You Need to Know About the VA Aid and Attendance Program
Veterans may be able to receive a subsidy through the government to cover this at home elder care assistance if they meet specific qualifications. We provide you with the information you need to avoid potential pension claim delays. Once you become an approved participant in a Veteran's Affairs program, Comfort Keepers will provide the quality home and companionship care that you deserve. Veteran care programs for which you may qualify include:
· Veteran’s Aid and Attendance Benefit Program
· Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program
If you or your spouse served ninety consecutive days of active military duty – with at least one of those days during a U.S. declared war – you may qualify or be partially qualified. Other qualifications include specific financial criteria and a documented physical need for in-home elder care. (Hint: Remember the three M’s - Military, Money and Medical)
To begin the application process, you will need:
· Original discharge certificate
· Marriage certificate (divorce papers from any prior marriages, if applicable)
· Death certificate of veteran (if applicable)
· Social Security numbers for the veteran and spouse
